Anita Hunt was born and grew up in Ohio. She studied art at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio and at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She has been an active artist for nearly 30 years, working primarily in printmaking, photography, drawing, and artist's books. Her work is frequently shown in curated exhibitions at regional museums, university art galleries, and art centers in New England and is exhibited widely in national and international printmaking exhibits. Anita is a member of the Boston Printmakers and the Past President and an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Monotype Guild of New England. She teaches printmaking workshops and is currently affiliated with Zea Mays Printmaking, a studio facility dedicated to safer, non-toxic and innovative printmaking methods. She lives and works in western Massachusetts.
